Summery Tilda

Our current challenge on Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to create a Summer inspired project. Well, it certainly feels like Summer here already, and I know I would love to be holding a delicious ice cream like this cute little Tilda is.

I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for the layout of this card. The Tilda is from the Lazy Summer Days collection and I have placed her in front of an open gate where she is eating her yummy ice cream to stay cool. I used my new copic ABS 1 airbrush system to do the grass and the sky for this image. I am having so much fun with this thing. I also used it to turn the clear acrylic button under the ribbon yellow and the spellbinders shape with the sentiment stamped on it as well. It's really easy to airbrush with the spellbinders, if you leave the paper in the die when you airbrush it, you will automatically get a white border around the outside like I have done here. I added some crystal lacquer to the ice cream to make it look like a Popsicle.

Fairy Dust Tilda

I created this card for the Friday sketchers sketch challenge. Here is a picture of the sketch

And here is a picture of my card.

I used Fairydust Tilda from the new Fairytale collection. I have colored her with my copic markers. I used the airbrush system for the blue sky background behind Tilda and then also gave the entire image a spritz with shimmerz spritz for a little bit of sparkle. I added a ribbon flower in the corner for decoration and finished it off with a pink gem. I put some flock on the flower to make it look like she was sitting on a dandelion, but it's hard to see in the photo.

Birthdya by Bildmalarna

Our current challenge on the Bildmalarna Blog is to create a project using the color scheme of red, yellow, and blue. I decided to make a birthday card using the adorable new stamp Mimosa's Birthday. I think this stamp is so cute I love how she is feeding the birthday cake to her little teddy bears.

I used paper from the Die Cuts with a View Farmer's Market stack and I colored the image with copic markers to match. One thing I did to add a little bit of dimension to the card is to go over certain parts of the image with crystal lacquer. I added it in brown to the table and benches, red to the balloon and the rose on the cake, and black for the bear's eyes and nose. I love how this product has color already in it. You can add a little bit of copic underneath for dimension and then color the rest with the crystal lacquer. I embossed the yellow cardstock with the cuttlebug birthday folder and and sanded it to bring out the embossing a little better. The sentiment I used was actually part of the summer kit from Bildmalarna (this kit was full of adorable stamps and sentiments). I went over the stitching around the edges and the words Birthday Wishes with my turquoise spica marker to add a little bit of sparkle.

We would love for to play along with us on the Bildmalarna challenge blog. To play, post a copy of your project into the inlinkz found under this post on the Bildmalarna blog.

I used coredinations chocolate box and white was for my embossing. The Eiffel tower and the sentiment are cut from the new Summer in Paris cricut cartridge. I used a nestabilitie to hold my sentiment and threaded some ribbon through it. I then added some prima flowers and some making memories decorative pins, and some Kaiser Craft pearls for some excitement. I know I'll be shopping this great sale and I hope some of you can take advantage of it also!!!!

Shadowbox Tilda

We have a new challenge happening over on the Magnolia Stamp Lovers Blog. The challenge is to make a card with some dimension. I decided to try a different type of card this time and made a shadowbox card. I used an adorable new Tilda from the fairytale collection called Elf Tilda.

I have had this large Magnolia mushroom stamp for some time and when I saw the Elf Tilda, I knew she would be perfect for sitting on it. I stamped Elf Tilda, then put a mask over her and stamped the mushroom. I colored both images in with my copic markers. I used paper from the Die Cuts With a View Green stack. I decorated the top layer of the card with some crochet flowers and added some pearl brads to the center. I also added a bow (tied with the bow easy) and the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment Have a Fairy Nice Day in the center of one of the outline shapes from the Label Accents set and then cut it out with my labels 4 nestie. I love how easily these sentiments work with the nesties. Here is a picture of the card that better shows the dimension of the card.

We would love to have some more players for our challenge, so if you get a chance, please come over to Magnolia Stamp Lovers and add your dimensional card.

Mimosa with Butterfly

I love Bildmalarna stamps. I think they are some of the cutest ones around and I am so thrilled to be a part of their Design Team. I recently ordered this adorable little stamp Mimosa Butterfly. I love how the stamp is all one part, so much easier than masking and cutting out like you have to do with some other stamps.

I colored Mimosa with my copic markers. I have used the sketch from Friday sketchers as my inspiration. The paper I used is from Basic Grey and is the Lemonade collection. I added a bow tied with bow easy (of course there is no way I could tie one this perfectly on my own) and then added some buttons. I then stamped the sentiment Thinking of You with my label accents stamp set and cut it out with my labels 4 nestabilitie. I hope you have enjoyed my sweet Mimosa card.

A Bildmalarna Mother's Day

I hope all the mothers out there had a fantastic mother's day! I know I did. My little piggy made me breakfast, we went shopping, and then out to dinner. It was a very fun day. We are hosting a Mother's Day challenge on Bildmalarna Blog. I decided to use this adorable new stamp of Tossa and a swan that was included in the Summer Kit from Bildmalarna.

The entire kit was adorable and I can't wait to use all of them. If you love Bildmalarna stamps, you do not want to miss out on the kits. Anyway, for my Tossa and swan card, I used Cosmo Cricket designer paper as well as the new Cosmo Cricket core'dinations in neutral. I added some Prima flowers and a sentiment from Just Rite. To top off Tossa's beautiful swan, I added a little bit of stickles. We would love to see what type of mother's day project you can create using Bildmalarna stamps, so stop by and show us what you've done.

House Mouse Spring

The House Mouse and Friends blog is having a spring challenge right now. Details of the challenge can be found at the bottom of this post on the blog. I have used the House Mouse stamp of the month for May on my project.

This set is perfect because it comes with not only the great stamp, Sensory Overload, but the sentiment- If friends were flowers, I'd pick you, comes in the set as well. I colored my little guy with my copic markers. I used a combination of E35, E33, and E31 on his fur, his hands, feet, face and tail are a combination of E21, E02, and YR000. I colored the lilac with V01 and V00. The leaves and stem are a combination of YG63, YG67, and YG03. The paper is from the new Basic Grey pack Kioshi. Now the only thing left to make this card a true Sensory Overload is some lilac scent your cards! Now it will smell as mice as it looks.

A Recipe Challenge

Our current challenge over on Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to create a recipe inspired project using Magnolia images. Well, I don't have a lot of recipes and I really don't cook, so I was pretty stumped on this one. So, I came up with this card using Fairytale Tilda.

I call it the recipe for the perfect man. I stamped fairytale Tilda, then masked her and stamped the background. I stamped the recipe card and wrote my "recipe" on it for the sentiment. I then added some crochet flowers and and bow tied with my bow easy.

The copic colors used in this card are as follows
Frog- G85 and G82, Grass and stems- YG63 and YG67, Sky- B0000 and B000, Dress R85, R83, R81, Tulips RV14, R32, Hair- E37, E35, E31, Skin- E02, YR000, E000, E0000, R20
