Wild Cards

I am having a lot of fun with the new cricut Wild Card cartridge. It creates the cutest shaped cards with matching envelopes. It is so simple to make really cute looking cards. Here are a few of the ones I have created so far. This one is the owl card. I love owls right now and they are everywhere in scrapbooking. The next one I worked on is the ornament card for Chrismas. This one is also very simple to make. I just cuttlebugged the top layer and it's done!

I have experimented wth 2 other cards so far and I can't wait to get to the rest of them. Here is my version of the house card. I think it is intended to be a house warming card, but I added a little and turned it into a gingerbread house for Christmas.

The last card I've made so far was the doily card. I made this one for a swap on my yahoo group cuttlebug card exchange. (come and join if you like making cards). This is for an exchange where we had to create a card with scalloped shapes on it. I threaded ribbon through the openings in the scallops and embossed a scalloped circle to be the background for the stamped image. In addition to all the cool cards and envelopes, this cartridge also has an entire alphabet as well as other shapes on it. It is a must have if you enjoy making cards with your cricut!

Happy Halloween!!

Here are some pictures of my favorite trick or treaters.

Cuttlebug spot challenge

Here is a card I made for the cuttlebug spot challenge using the swiss dots folder. I used the swiss dots on the background paper to imitate the dots on the winter house folder I used to be the scene inside the snow globe. I colored the house with colored pencils, stickled the snow and then mixed a little pearl ex with blue chalk and rubbed it in with a cotton ball for the sky. It's much more shimmery in person.

more and more swaps

Ok, here are a few more. I am not done yet, but all the rest are due in November. I made Fall themed birthday cards, June calendars, butterflies, tiggers, cards, and pumpkins. Sounds like fun doesn't it. It really was. It takes a lot of time, but it is worth it in the end when you get all your great stuff back in the mail. The butterflies are from the Storybook cartridge and the owl is a sizzlits die. My next challenge was to create a CD calendar page for the month of June. Nothing says June quite like penguins! I had to make orange shapes for another swap. Immediately I thought of pumpkins for Fall/Halloween. The tall pumpkin border is from Stretch Your Imagination and the other pumpkins are from Pooh and Friends. I still needed one more orange shape, so I decided on Tigger. He's orange, he's cute, he's tiggeriffic!! Last but not least, my purple birthday cards. I finally used the cards from Stretch Your imagination and it turned out really cute.

swaps swaps swaps

Why do I sign up for so many swaps? I love doing them, but I never get my own scrapbooking done anymore. Here is one of the swaps I am involved in this month. This is my mummy card for a Halloween card swap. Isn't he scary?

Halloween and fall projects

I've started working on Halloween and Fall themed projects. Here are a few cards I have made so far. I love using the new core'dinations paper in the Cuttlebug. I think the black sanded to reveal the purple core is perfect for Halloween cards. I'm working on a Thanksgiving card, but I haven't quite figured out how to finish it yet.

Well, I am lousy at posting. I have made a lot of new stuff lately. This is a sample of some of the things I have been working on.
