Post-it Note Holder

The Magnolia-licioushighlites blog had a blog hop this weekend and everyone created a little post it note holder and post-it note covers. I had a little trouble with getting the box together, but I finally figured it out. This first picture shows the box itself. I decorated it with some CTMH paper and colored the Tilda with the sunflower to match the colors in the paper as best I could. I added a few mushrooms to go with her and a petaloo flower colored with copics to match the flower Tilda was holding.
The next step was to make the covers for the post-its themselves. This was done by 2 chipboard covers so they are nice and sturdy. If you click on the link above for the magnolia-licious blog, you should be able to get the link to the tutorial. So, for this first post it holder I decorated it with baby Tingla laying on a flower. She fits on top of it perfectly. This is just such an adorable stamp.
Since the box was actually wide enough to hold 2 sets of post-its, I decided to make another cover as well. I covered this one in the same paper, but decorated it with a large Magnolia mushroom to coordinate with the mushrooms on the box. I love mushrooms lately.
So now, thanks to this challenge I have an adorable little post it holder I can keep on my desk and I will always have post- its handy when I need them.

Hi Mindy, I was so happy (for myself) to read that someone else was having trouble figuring out the pattern for the little box. I was so desperate, I even asked DH to see if he could figure it out. You can probably guess where that went....yup, the whole thing is in my garbage can.lol Could not figure out what to do with that side that was too tall!! Good for you that you were able to figure it out and make a darling set. Good luck on being chosen the winner of the three stamps from Diana. Linda S. in NE
