Parisbella

Here is another bella card. This one is called Parisbella.

I cuttlebugged the background and sanded it. Paris is colored in with copics, cut out with an oval nestabilitie, and then embossed. The embossed outline is highlighted with some shimmer chalk.
I've had the gems on the side laying around since Ainsleigh turned two and had a princess party. They are perfect for cardmaking. I love all things pink and fluffy, so a little maribou on the top seemed like the perfect touch.

Ainsleigh's mailbox

I have finally gotten around to posting the picture of the mailbox Ainsleigh made for Valentine's Day. This was the project we worked on at our girl scout meeting. The girls had a lot of fun creating them. Here is the close up of her mailbox. We used doilies, paper, foam stickers, ribbon, you name it- they used it. They are a bunch of future crafters for sure!

New Bella Card

I don't know why I waited so long to order some bella stamps. They are so cute and I can't stop playing with them. Here is a card I made last night. This stamp is called flowahbella. I colored her with copics and used flower soft on the flowers in the flower pot. I am finally getting the hang of the flower soft. This color is called summer and it has a great mixture of pinks and greens. I used the curved rectangle nestabilities to cut out the stamped image. The background is embossed with the bloom dots cuttlebug folder, sanded and then some skittles added. I also accented little parts of her dress and the flower pot with the copic spica glitter pens. Well, this picture is bigger than I thought it would be and there is no way I can fill up all this space, so that's about all I can say about this card. Look for more Bella cards to be posted soon.

Good News

I found out yesterday that my entries for the Design Team challenge for www.stampingscrapping.com made it past round one! This means Cindy will be sending us supplies that we need to use for our next project. I can't wait to see what they are. Being on a Design Team would be so much fun and Cindy is great. I have more mailbox pictures to post when I get home. I think I will post Ainsleigh's. She made a really cute one and filled it with Valentines to send to family members.

Mini Mailbox # 2

This is one that I am giving Ainsleigh for Valentine's Day.

The stamp is a new one I got from Stamping Bella called Hydrangea Bittybloom. Isn't it cute? I colored her with copics and then used Flower Soft on her dress. This is really the first time I've tried the flower soft and it is perfect for this stamp. The paper is from a new pack from Anna Griffin I found at Hobby Lobby it is full of pink and black leopard, zebra, florals and crocodile prints. I glued some maribou around where the lid attaches. Everything looks cuter with fur (as long as it is fake fur). The pink and black flowers are petaloo. You can also see the cute pink floral paper that was in the same pack ast he zebra stripe. Here is a close up of the pink zebra paper. It's so girly and cute. I hope Ainsleigh lilkes it and doesn't follow my blog and see it before Valentine's Day.

Mini Mailbox # 1

I love making these little mailboxes from Target. You can fill them with chocolate or other goodies and they are the perfect teacher or coach's gifts. This is one I made for a design team challenge. I used core'dinations cardstock on this one. I embossed it with the cuttlebug divine swirls folder and then sanded it to let the core show through. The flowers on the little flag are petaloo and the heart in the middle I found in the Valentine section of Hobby Lobby. I cut the Love from Home Accents and then stamped the words on it with a Close to My Heart stamp. The little "chocolate" heart in the middle also came from the Valentine section of Hobby Lobby. This is the end of the mailbox. I used the chocolate box core'dinations paper and embossed it with the heart block folder then sanded it to show the pink core. I cut circles with the nestabilities for the sentiment. The Eat Lots of Chocolate comes from the Just Rite Christmas set it works for Valentine's Day also! After I stamped it, I embossed it with swiss dots. Just a note, when you use only the center of the just rite stamps, I found it works best with markers instead of an ink pad. This is the other side of the mailbox- more delicious chocolate hearts. These are actually wooden and they stick to the mailbox great with a coupl of glue dots. I have a ton of these, so I should have more up soon!

The ice is gone!

Ainsleigh went back to school on Thursday, so it is almost normal around here now. I got some cute pics of her and the dog playing in the ice/snow in the back yard. They had a great time. Dingo is a snow dog at heart. She jumped up in the air and caught snow balls in her mouth! I managed to finish up a few crafts. I made this card for a general swap. I used my new copics to color and tried a new technique of paper piecing patterned paper into the stamped image. Pretty cool. Thanks, Sheri! The love birds card was for a Valentines/Love themed swap. I tried another new technique on this one. I embossed acetate on the cuttlebug, sanded it, then went over it with pink chalk. I really like the look and will probably try it more often. Ok, I'm off to bed!
